because achieving happiness is a journey, not a destination

Barbara and I finally got around to seeing Inception last night. Arthur joined us, too.

We all came away feeling the movie was engaging, if not engrossing, but mostly because it was so complex that if you stopped paying attention for a few minutes you’d get lost.

It also seemed, to me, that there was a lot of exposition — characters going through lengthy technical discussions to explain why they could only do X or couldn’t do Y. That gets boring after a while.

I did really enjoy the soundtrack, though.

Overall I’d recommend seeing it…but maybe at home when the DVD comes out.
